In Romania, "Operation Wedding" received the Young Jury Award for Best Documentary at The Rasnov Histories and Film Festival!

The Israeli high school students in Hedera, applauded when Prisoner of Zion Sylva Zalmanson and her daughter, filmmaker Anat Zalmanson Kuznetsov walked on stage after the screening of Anat's documentary "Operation Wedding". It was a particularly exciting evening. About 250 students stood up, cheered and whistled in honor of Sylva Zalmanson. The applause lasted for several minutes, and the excited students asked Sylva and Anat many questions, mainly interested in the many years Sylva spent in Soviet prison. In the years to come, the school's management will continue to show the film "Operation Wedding" for 9th grade students, under the theme of human rights.

About 1,500 high school students in center of Israel city of Yehud, watched the documentary Operation Wedding in the past month and this morning participate in a ceremony with Minister of Defence Avigdor Liberman, Knesset member Oded Forer, Operation Wedding group members and other former Prisoners of Zion.

We were extremely touched by the wonderful 8th grade teacher, Alisheva Kronman, at "Amit" middle school in Be'er Sheva, who screened Operation Wedding for her pupils and also provided them extensive background information. The 14 year-old students, whose parents were mostly from the Former Soviet Union, responded enthusiastically to the film and even created a poster in Hebrew in honor of Operation Wedding.

We asked the teacher to interview the students and ask them about their impressions of the film:

To honor Israel Independent day, "Atid Raziel" high school screened the film for three classes of 10 graders, followed a discussion with Director Anat Zalmanson-Kuznetsov. The students asked many questions for an hour after the screenings.

A tween screening, Reel Life course with The Jewish Journey Project, an initiative of JCC Manhattan.

After the screening the 6 graders got to meet Israel Zalmanson,

a member of "Operation Wedding" group who spent 8 years in Gulag.

Teen screening in Cleveland Akiva high school

Thanks to Jewish Federation Of Cleveland, who hosted the film and Anat for a few screenings, we got to show the film to 10th garders.
